data-highlight-intro=\"true\">\n<p>Police in Germany are appealing for witnesses after thieves broke into the basement of a bank and stole from customer safety deposit boxes. <\/p>\n<p>Three individuals, who are thought to be men, were seen wearing blue overalls and walking from a Volksbank branch in Stuhr, northwestern <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/topic\/germany-5934\/1\" target=\"_blank\">Germany<\/a><\/strong>, at around 1.20pm on Friday (13 February), authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>They added that the trio were walking towards a dark car, but witnesses have so far said they aren&#8217;t sure whether they got in and drove away or walked past.<\/p>\n<p>The break-in comes just months after <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/thieves-drill-into-german-bank-vault-to-steal-valuables-worth-tens-of-millions-of-euros-13488710#:~:text=Thieves%20drill%20into%20German%20bank,euros%20%7C%20World%20News%20%7C%20Sky%20News\" target=\"_blank\">a huge heist in the city of Gelsenkirchen<\/a><\/strong>, a two-and-a-half-hour train journey from Stuhr.<\/p>\n<p>A gang of thieves took advantage of the Christmas holidays and to the bank overnight on Saturday 27 December.<\/p>\n<p>CCTV footage then captured a black Audi leaving early in the morning on Monday 29 December.<\/p>\n<p>The men broke into thousands of deposit boxes, with initial estimates placing the value of the raid between \u20ac10m to \u20ac90m (\u00a38.6m to \u00a378m), according to a police spokesperson.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a
