NEW<\/span>You can now listen to Fox News articles!\n <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Tim Allen<\/a> doesn\u2019t take faith lightly.<\/p>\n Over the past year, the comedian has been doing a deep dive into the Bible.<\/p>\n “Finished the entire Bible,” “The Santa Clause” actor wrote on X recently. “it\u2019s been a 13 month word by word page by page no skimming journey.”<\/p>\n The 71-year-old said he was “Humbled, enlightened and amazed at what I read and what I learned. I will rest and meditate on so much. I will begin it again.”<\/p>\n JUSTIN BIEBER SAYS FAITH IN JESUS HEALED HIM AFTER MUSIC INDUSTRY \u2018DIDN\u2019T ALWAYS PROTECT MY SOUL\u2019<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Tim Allen recently did a deep dive into studying the Bible.<\/span> (Raymond Liu\/Disney via Getty Images)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n But the “Home Improvement” star hasn\u2019t always been so sure of his beliefs.<\/p>\n He struggled with it for years<\/a> after his father was killed by a drunk driver when he was a child.<\/p>\n “My father was killed by a drunk driver when I was 11 years old,” Allen told Mike Rowe<\/a> on his podcast last fall. “Luckily, he was the only one killed. But he died in my mother\u2019s lap. My other two brothers were thrown around the car, a lot of kids were hurt.”<\/p>\n ZACHARY LEVI SAYS HOLLYWOOD DIDN\u2019T \u2018REALLY CARE\u2019 ABOUT FAITH-BASED FILMS UNTIL THERE WAS MONEY TO BE MADE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Allen, who hadn\u2019t been in the car during the crash, said he went back to his house after spending the day with a friend “knowing something terrible had happened” and he was praying and bargaining with God over it.<\/p>\n “I said, \u2018I will eat vegetables.\u2019 Whatever as a kid. \u2018Just make \u2014 whatever\u2019s going on \u2014 this is terrible. I will do my homework,\u2019 or whatever,” he explained of his attempt to bargain with God at such a young age. “And none of that happened. I get to the house. There\u2019s police and my uncle was there and said, \u2018Man up. You know, your mom needs you right now. So, no crying. Why don\u2019t we just start there?\u2019 And it never got answered.”<\/p>\n Allen explained that his “pain” and “discomfort” over his father\u2019s death and faith “never stopped” because of that.<\/p>\n “For many years I didn\u2019t care,” he said. “That whole process started me on asking questions and generally getting no answers.”<\/p>\n But his shop teacher at school told him to stop asking questions and figure out what he could <\/i>do. “\u2018That\u2019s all you can do,\u2019” he said of his teacher\u2019s advice to take control of his life. “I used to love that about shop teachers.”<\/p>\n “I don\u2019t know what political, religious persuasion I really am because the more I look at the emanator, I tag it, I make names, and then I go through this whole thing,” he explained of the way he perceives God. “It\u2019s in a big chair, and it\u2019s got a beard for some reason. It looks like Father Time.”<\/p>\n He joked he feels like this emanator tells him, “\u2018You have no idea how big I am.
