Two men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death in a south London retail park.<\/p>\n
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Hesterman Way, Croydon, at around 1.15am on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Metropolitan Police officers and the London Ambulance Service found three men with stab wounds at the scene at the Valley Retail Park.<\/p>\n
A 22-year-old man died after being taken to hospital, the force said, adding that his next of kin were being supported by specialist officers.<\/p>\n
Two other men, both aged 21, were also taken to hospital and have both since been arrested on suspicion of affray.<\/p>\n
One, whose injuries are believed to be life-threatening, is still there, while the other is now in police custody.<\/p>\n
Two women, both aged 25, and a 28-year-old man, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Sunday and remain in police custody.<\/p>\n
Two further women, aged 21 and 22, have been arrested on suspicion of affray.<\/p>\n
The 21-year-old woman has been bailed while inquiries continue and the 22-year-old woman remains in police custody.<\/p>\n
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Gammampila, who is leading the Met investigation, urged anyone with information to come forward.<\/p>\n
He said: “Our thoughts remain with the victim’s family at this hugely difficult time. We cannot begin to imagine what they are going through.<\/p>\n
“We understand that this incident will be distressing to the local community. My officers continue to work at pace to unpick the events that unfolded and to apprehend those responsible.”<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
