{"id":3017,"date":"2026-02-15T22:39:44","date_gmt":"2026-02-15T22:39:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=3017"},"modified":"2026-02-15T22:39:44","modified_gmt":"2026-02-15T22:39:44","slug":"former-us-president-obama-says-aliens-are-real-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=3017","title":{"rendered":"Former US president Obama says \u2018aliens are real\u2019: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dawn.com\/large\/2026\/02\/15212355f24dcfd.webp\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Former United States president Barack Obama has said during an interview that \u201caliens are real\u201d, <em>Time<\/em>\u00a0magazine <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"link--external\" href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/7378768\/obama-aliens-real-area-51\/?utm_source=twitter&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_campaign=editorial&amp;utm_content=150226\">reported <\/a>on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Citing an interview of Obama by podcaster Brian Tyler Cohen, the report stated that when asked about the existence of extraterrestrial life, the former president responded: \u201cThey\u2019re real, but I haven\u2019t seen them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re not being kept at Area 51. There\u2019s no underground facility \u2014 unless there\u2019s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the President of the United States,\u201d Obama jokingly added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media  w-full  w-full  media--left  media--embed  media--uneven media--tweet\" data-original-src=\"https:\/\/x.com\/briantylercohen\/status\/2022808515082096843\">\n<div class=\"media__item  media__item--twitter  \"><span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/briantylercohen\/status\/2022808515082096843\"><\/a>\n    <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><em>Time<\/em> reported that Cohen \u201cdid not ask a follow-up question on the topic\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Obama has been known for having a sense of humour, as seen in White House<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1255652\"> Correspondents\u2019 Dinner<\/a> ceremonies during his presidency.<\/p>\n<p>The report added that Obama spoke out about the deployment of thousands of immigration agents to Minnesota, condemning what he deemed \u201crogue behaviour\u201d on the part of the federal government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cObama compared the actions of the Trump Administration in Minnesota to behaviour that \u2018we\u2019ve seen in authoritarian countries and we\u2019ve seen in dictatorships, but we have not seen in America\u2019,\u201d <em>Time<\/em>\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>The former president was quoted as saying that recognising the unprecedented nature of federal agents\u2019 activities in the city of Minneapolis and their actions, including \u201cpulling people out of their homes [and] using five-year-olds to try to bait their parents\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1969081\"> rogue behaviour<\/a> of agents of the federal government is deeply concerning and dangerous, but we should take a moment to appreciate the extraordinary outpouring of organising, community building [and] decency,\u201d Obama said.<\/p>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1973471\/former-us-president-obama-says-aliens-are-real-report\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former United States president Barack Obama has said during an interview that \u201caliens are real\u201d, Time\u00a0magazine reported on Sunday.
