Flying first class just got cheaper \u2014 but don\u2019t get too comfortable.\u00a0<\/p>\n

United Airlines is rolling out a new tiered fare system for its premium cabins, promising more choice \u2014 and, finally, a lower-priced way to sit up front, as the airline announced<\/a> today.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But like most things in the friendly skies<\/a>, the fine print might cost you.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The airline revealed it will introduce three fare types for its swankier seats \u2014 base, standard and flexible \u2014 across long-haul international, transcontinental and select Hawaii flights.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Translation: First class, but make it basic.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new \u201cbase\u201d option will offer the lowest possible price point for United Polaris and Premium Plus seats \u2014 a tempting deal for travelers<\/a> eyeing luxury without the usual sticker shock.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
