American workers saw rising wages<\/u><\/a> in March, though the increases were lighter than expected and represented a deceleration from the prior month’s readings.<\/p>\n The Bureau of Labor Statistics on Friday released the March jobs report<\/u><\/a>, which showed the U.S. economy added 178,000 jobs for the month \u2013 beating the expectations of economists polled by LSEG who anticipated a gain of 60,000 jobs.<\/p>\n The report found that average earnings increased 0.2% on a monthly basis and are 3.5% higher than a year ago.
