{"id":40573,"date":"2026-04-04T04:08:45","date_gmt":"2026-04-04T04:08:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=40573"},"modified":"2026-04-04T04:08:45","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T04:08:45","slug":"uk-weather-storm-dave-to-hit-hard-forecasters-warn-heres-when-and-where-uk-news","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=40573","title":{"rendered":"UK weather: Storm Dave to hit hard, forecasters warn &#8211; here&#8217;s when and where | UK News"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div data-component-name=\"ui-article-body\" data-testid=\"article-body\" data-highlight-intro=\"true\">\n<p>Forecasters are warning that Storm Dave will hit the UK hard later today &#8211; bringing gale force winds as millions travel for the Easter break.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Four yellow weather warnings from the Met Office will come into force this afternoon:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 An alert for wind covering northern England and part of Wales is active from <strong>5pm<\/strong> until <strong>7am <\/strong>tomorrow<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A separate warning for wind across the whole of Northern Ireland is in place from <strong>2pm <\/strong>until <strong>3am<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The whole of mainland Scotland also faces a yellow warning for wind from <strong>6pm <\/strong>until <strong>12pm <\/strong>tomorrow<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 A yellow alert for rain and snow applies to the Scottish Highlands between <strong>3pm <\/strong>and <strong>6am<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"sdc-article-widget sdc-article-image\" data-testid=\"article-image\">\n<figure class=\"sdc-article-image__figure\">\n<div class=\"sdc-article-image__wrapper\" data-aspect-ratio=\"16\/9\">\n          \n    <\/div><figcaption class=\"ui-media-caption\" data-testid=\"article-image-caption\">\n        <span class=\"u-hide-visually\">Image:<\/span><br \/>\n        <span class=\"ui-media-caption__caption-text\" data-testid=\"article-image-caption-text\">Storm Chandra caused widespread disruption earlier this year.
