Celebrity fitness guru Jillian Michaels says \u201ctrue sociopath\u201d Gavin Newsom has been the downfall of California. \u201cHe\u2019s the\u00a0quintessential politician\u201d who \u201cpanders to everyone,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the state with the highest cost of living. Highest gas prices, highest income tax, the highest housing, highest rent, highest everything. And people get nothing for the money they\u2019re paying,\u201d Michaels \u2014 who left California in 2021 \u2014 told<\/a>\u00a0the California Post<\/em>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0health and wellness expert went on to say that Democrat Governor Newsom \u201cpanders to everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019ll go sit with Ben Shapiro and tell him that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) isn\u2019t the Gestapo, and then he will go to the World Economic Forum (WEF) and tell everybody ICE is the Gestapo,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cHe tries to be something to everyone, which is just shows you how totally inauthentic the guy is,\u201d\u00a0Michaels added. \u201cHe\u2019s the quintessential politician. He is a true sociopath.\u201d<\/p>\n The 52-year-old also noted she is\u00a0furious about last year\u2019s Los Angeles wildfires \u2014 and slammed Newsom\u2019s decision last October to veto legislation which was intended to\u00a0enhance wildfire prevention through stricter, updated, and proactive forest management planning.<\/p>\n \u201cBillions are lost or mismanaged,\u201d Michaels said. \u201cThe state burns down every five seconds and it\u2019s absolutely manageable. And yet, everything is done wrong \u2014 but it\u2019s so obvious how to fix it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou should have not vetoed the bill for forestry management,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n The\u00a0fitness guru also accused Newsom of failing to stop China from buying land in\u00a0California, recalling how in 2022, he vetoed a bill that would have prohibited foreign governments from purchasing,\u00a0acquiring, or leasing agricultural land in the state.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is what I mean when I tell you he is far and away, in my opinion, more corrupt than any mayor, than any governor I have ever experienced in my lifetime,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd even when you look at his relationship with China, go back to when he was the mayor of San Francisco,\u201d Michael added. \u201cThey would clear out the red tape for these guys to do what they wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n Michaels, who now lives in\u00a0Wyoming with her wife,\u00a0fashion designer DeShanna Marie Minuto, and her children \u2014 15-year-old adopted daughter Lukensia, and\u00a013-year-old son Phoenix from\u00a0Minuto\u2019s former relationship \u2014 said she considers herself center-right, and voted for President Donald Trump in 2024 as a \u201clesser evil.\u201d<\/p>\n Left-wing politics have gotten \u201cout of control\u201d in California, the celebrity fitness trainer and TV personality asserted, adding, \u201cIt\u2019s not working \u2014 the\u00a0homeless problem only continues to grow. Billions are lost or mismanaged.\u201d<\/p>\n Michaels also noted that she supports U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his overhaul of nutrition policy in the United States.<\/p>\n \u201cWhether you like him or not, the reality is the food pyramid shift is not about telling you and I what to eat.
