{"id":42262,"date":"2026-04-05T22:02:03","date_gmt":"2026-04-05T22:02:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=42262"},"modified":"2026-04-05T22:02:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-05T22:02:03","slug":"ice-launches-more-low-profile-worksite-visits-to-deport-migrants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=42262","title":{"rendered":"ICE Launches More Low-Profile Worksite Visits to Deport Migrants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">President Donald Trump\u2019s deputies directed more low-profile enforcement operations this weekend to remove many illegal migrants from U.S. worksites.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">The surprise worksite operations make it difficult for well-funded pro-migration groups \u2014 including left-wing, business, and media groups \u2014 to create the TV-magnified chaos that unnerves swing-voting citizens.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"\/>\n<p>In Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, ICE invited illegal-migrant truck drivers to renew their Commercial Driver\u2019s Licenses at a local licensing office and promptly arrested 13 who turned up.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2040250453284319296\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/atutruckers\/status\/2040250453284319296\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>WTAE\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wtae.com\/article\/ice-arrests-13-people-penndot-drivers-license-center-kittanning-dhs-says\/70934215\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> that\u00a0ICE arrested \u201c13 illegal aliens from countries including Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.\u201d One migrant assaulted a local officer, ICE added.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2040257458027831440\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/maybedanielleee\/status\/2040257458027831440\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2040220212855996643\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KimKatieUSA\/status\/2040220212855996643\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2040303206006452676\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KimKatieUSA\/status\/2040303206006452676\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In Washington State, ICE agents arrested other migrants who attended appointments at federal offices.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2040231684206141779\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Milajoy\/status\/2040231684206141779\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But there is a long way to go because of the huge logistical task of deporting 10 million migrants, amid fierce resistance by <a href=\"https:\/\/austinkocher.substack.com\/p\/trumps-deportation-machine-is-getting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">well-funded lawyers<\/a>, empathy-maximizing reporters, and hostile Democratic Party leaders. Currently, Trump\u2019s deputies are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/immigration\/2026\/04\/03\/despite-signaling-change-ice-still-arrests-many-immigrants-with-no-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arresting<\/a> almost 1,000 illegal migrants per day \u2014 after closing the southern border.<\/p>\n<p>Trump\u2019s deputies are still allowing many legalized migrants into American jobs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe best way, really the only way, is to lean into worksite enforcement,\u201d said Rosemary Jenks, cofounder of the Immigration Accountability Project.<\/p>\n<p>Her group recently joined with many other groups to create the <a href=\"https:\/\/massdeportationcoalition.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mass Deportation Coalition<\/a>, which has drafted <a href=\"https:\/\/massdeportationcoalition.org\/playbook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a plan<\/a> to help Trump\u2019s team overcome the many obstacles to deportations. The obstacles are created by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pnhp.org\/news\/gilens-and-page-average-citizens-have-little-impact-on-public-policy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">powerful business interests<\/a> \u2014 including many with close ties to Trump \u2014 who profit enormously when wages are suppressed by legalized and illegal migration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">\u201cI absolutely applaud the Trump administration for everything that they have done in Phase One,\u201d said Jenks, adding:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a9d adSo\"\/>\n<blockquote>\n<p>But Phase One was focused on criminal aliens, the \u201cWorst of the Worst.\u201d And it\u2019s time now to move to Phase Two \u2026 [the mass deportations of working migrants]. We don\u2019t take away anything that the Trump administration has done. They have done yeoman\u2019s work on this issue. And you know, we absolutely applaud them for that. We\u2019re trying to give them ideas for how to ramp it up.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Even as ICE has reduced its use of dramatic street sweeps, Stephen Miller and other top White House aides are using many levers of government power to exclude migrants, the <em>New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/04\/05\/us\/politics\/stephen-miller-immigration-agenda.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a> on April 5:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">[Miller is] seeking policies that would pressure undocumented immigrants to leave on their own. On his recent calls with immigration officials, for example, Mr. Miller has asked for information on how immigrants use credit cards, potentially as part of an effort to crack down on their ability to open accounts and spend money, according to officials with knowledge of the discussions.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">On Friday, Trump\u2019s deputies announced plans in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/budget_fy2027.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">their 2027 budget request<\/a>\u00a0to Congress that would tighten oversight over the mass inflow of temporary legalized migrants via the H-2A, H-2B, H-1B, and other programs:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"css-ac37hb evys1bk0\">[The Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC)]\u00a0enforces the legal obligation of U.S. employers<br \/>to prove American workers are not available before they hire foreign workers. Through this role, OFLC<br \/>protects American workers\u2019 right of first refusal to domestic jobs, strengthens the Nation\u2019s borders, and<br \/>maintains the integrity of the Federal immigration system. The Budget strengthens this national security<br \/>function within DOL by reorganizing OFLC under the Office of the Secretary of Labor, promoting faster<br \/>decision-making on labor immigration matters. To further centralize oversight of immigration issues,<br \/>the Budget also proposes to reorganize into this newly elevated office, specialized visa activities currently<br \/>run by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and immigration policy coordinating<br \/>functions currently led by the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In Florida, police working for Gov.
