The New York Post<\/em> reports<\/a> that Oracle has sparked widespread criticism after it was revealed that the technology giant filed approximately 3,126 petitions to employ H-1B foreign workers during fiscal years 2025 and 2026, even as the company executed mass layoffs impacting thousands of employees. According to data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, 436 of those petitions were submitted this year alone.<\/p>\n The timing of these visa applications has drawn particular scrutiny. On Blind, an anonymous forum for verified employees, one user described the H-1B petitions as a slap in the face of Oracle\u2019s American employees.
