Rob Rausch might have shot to fame<\/a> for playing a perfect game of The Traitors <\/em>in the cool, moody Scottish Highlands. But these days, he\u2019s relishing the warmth of an Alabama spring \u2014 Zooming in from outside, shirtless, snake tattoos a-blazing. \u201cAs you can see, I\u2019m enjoying the sun right now,\u201d he says. \u201cThe cold depresses me, so just being out in the warmth, grabbing myself a Sonic Berry Citrus Refresher \u2014 couldn\u2019t be happier.\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s been plenty of buzz around the 27-year-old since his victorious run on the Peacock competition series<\/a> in February. <\/strong>As he asks in a playful spot about Sonic\u2019s fruity, green-tea-infused Refreshers, \u201cHow are you not sick of me yet? I\u2019m <\/em>sick of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ad (which features a surprise appearance by Traitors <\/em>Season 3 winner Dylan Efron) actually filmed in Rob\u2019s home state of Alabama, which he calls a \u201cgracious\u201d move. <\/strong>\u201cI was in a buddy\u2019s wedding recently down in Gulf Shores, and it was the most fun I\u2019ve had in six months,\u201d Rob says. \u201cIt just made me realize, Man, this is what\u2019s really important<\/em>. Just spending time with people you love and enjoying the relationships that you have. Like, all this other stuff really does not matter.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fan-favorite Traitor has been open about his ambivalence<\/a> surrounding the opportunities that accompany his new (and adoring) limelight. Fans have rallied, for example, for Rob to parlay his snake-wrangling physicality into a Dancing With the Stars <\/em>run<\/a> \u2014 a suggestion Dylan seems to hint at in the ad.<\/p>\n

Rob doesn\u2019t say if he\u2019d be down for the job, but says he and Dylan \u2014 a DWTS <\/em>Season 34 <\/em>alum \u2014 did talk about it. \u201cHe said it was really fun,\u201d Rob says. \u201cIt was a cool experience.\u201d He also weighs in on rumors that his Traitors <\/em>castmate Maura Higgins might be up<\/a> for The Bachelorette<\/em>, sharing: \u201cWhatever makes her happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the weirdest internet rabbit hole you\u2019ve gone down recently?<\/h4>\n

You know Zara Larsson? I had been hearing her music, and I saw this video about how she revived her career<\/a> based on this dolphin meme<\/a>. And then I went on a three-hour deep dive. I don\u2019t know why \u2014 I get really hyper-fixated on things sometimes, and I just learn everything I can about it. And I was so interested in how she was able to completely bring her entire career back. It started with that, and then she did the thing with PinkPantheress<\/a> and everything.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your nichest, most underground fave TV show or movie?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Big Lez Show<\/em><\/a>. It was a show made by a guy in [Australia] who animated and voice-acted it himself. He might have had a few people who helped him, but it was all on YouTube. It was about Sasquatches who terrorized this guy named Lez and made him do drugs and stuff. It was a weird show, but it was really funny.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the weirdest thing you\u2019ve cried at in a movie or TV show?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

One time I was on a flight, and I was a little wine-drunk, and I was watching New Girl<\/a><\/em>, the episode where Cece tells Schmidt that she\u2019s pregnant, and I cried. It was so sweet. I just shed a tear, and I was like, This is just a beautiful moment<\/em>.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your most reread book?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I\u2019ve read a few books twice \u2014 Greenlights,<\/em> The Hobbit,<\/em> and Fahrenheit 451<\/em> by Ray Bradbury.<\/p>\n

What song or artist is the soundtrack to your life?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Dominic Fike. He\u2019s been one of my top artists forever.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s in your fridge right now?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I actually have a standby Sonic Refresher. They\u2019re so yummy and delicious. And then I have Celsius, and some eggs. I have eggs for breakfast. You ever drink an egg?<\/p>\n

What\u2019s a topic you could give a PowerPoint presentation on with a moment\u2019s notice?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Reptiles, amphibians, definitely. Probably motorcycles \u2014 how to wheelie a motorcycle. Maybe woodworking, how to start a fire with flint. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s the weirdest or most surprising hobby you\u2019ve ever picked up?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Oh, gosh, I have so many hobbies. Maybe Rubik\u2019s Cube, ceramics, and sewing. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s the most specific gift you\u2019ve ever received?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I\u2019ve never been gifted a knife and not smiled ear to ear. My dad did give me a really good knife for Christmas.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s something you\u2019ve tried to evangelize your friends on?<\/h4>\n

Everybody should have a fridge knife. It\u2019s a large \u2014 typically a bowie \u2014 knife that you put on top of your fridge. <\/p>\n

Is that for, like, intruders?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I mean, it\u2019s there. And you probably will never use it. But I can\u2019t tell you how many times I\u2019m like, Man, I just want to hold my fridge knife. I\u2019m gonna go hold my knife a little bit, swing it around a couple times, put it back on the fridge.<\/em> <\/p>\n

It makes me feel safe, you know? Once you get used to having a knife on top of the fridge, you\u2019re like, OK, well, at least I have my fridge knife<\/em>. You watch a scary movie, you\u2019re like, Well, I have my fridge knife<\/em>. It\u2019s just a sense of security you can\u2019t match.<\/p>\n
