What happens in Cabo doesn\u2019t always stay in Cabo, because Us Weekly<\/em> has learned about one Laguna Beach<\/em><\/a> fight during the group\u2019s wild 2004 trip that never saw the light of day.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Cabo, Dieter [Schmitz]<\/strong> and Jessica [Smith]<\/strong> had a fight, and Dieter asked us not to air it. And it comes up in the special,\u201d Liz Gateley<\/strong> exclusively told Us<\/em> while promoting The Reunion: Laguna Beach<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re producing a show like this, it\u2019s all about trust. And Dieter didn\u2019t feel like it was his best self, and we wanted to honor that,\u201d she explained, noting it was the \u201conly time\u201d any of the cast asked them not to air what was shot.<\/p>\n

\u201cCasey Wilson<\/strong> [the reunion host] asked, like, \u2018Did you know you could do that? Stephen [Colletti]<\/strong><\/a> and Kristin [Cavallari]<\/strong><\/a>?\u2019 And they were like, \u2018No, we didn\u2019t know we could ask them not to air things,\u2019\u201d Gateley laughed.<\/p>\n

Laguna Beach<\/em> fans will forever remember the explosive fight<\/a> between Colletti, 40, and his then-girlfriend Cavallari, 39, in Cabo.<\/p>\n

While partying during the California crew\u2019s spring break, the on-again, off-again couple hurled drunken obscenities at each other, including Colletti calling Cavallari a \u201cbitch\u201d and \u201cslut.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking back, Colletti regrets his actions but he isn\u2019t hiding from them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI understand people\u2019s reaction to that [scene]. It\u2019s always something I\u2019ve been able to just wear because I take responsibility for what happened and all the sequence of events leading up to that moment and when we were down there in Cabo,\u201d he told Us<\/em> in March. \u201cThat wasn\u2019t one of my best moments, but I think at the end of the day, that\u2019s not who we are.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLaguna Beach fans can\u2019t wait to go back, back to the beginning, but according to Lauren Conrad not all of her castmates were automatically on board for their highly anticipated reunion. \u201cA lot of people were hesitant,\u201d Conrad, 40, exclusively told Us Weekly at Roku\u2019s The Reunion: Laguna Beach premiere on Thursday, March 26. Conrad, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Colletti already made amends with Cavallari about the situation on their joint podcast, Back to The Beach<\/em><\/a>, where they rewatch episodes and react in real time.<\/p>\n

Cavallari told Us<\/em> that she doesn\u2019t hold any grudges about what went down more than 20 years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cI watched Cabo and I actually walked away being proud of myself for how I reacted. I was 17, clearly intoxicated, and my ex-boyfriend was yelling profanities in my face, and all I tried to do was remove myself from the situation,\u201d she exclusively told Us<\/em> last month. \u201cI very easily could have escalated that and I didn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cavallari explained, \u201cI don\u2019t regret anything. Of course, there\u2019s moments I\u2019m not super proud of, but they\u2019ve led me where I am today. Ultimately, the show made me take a hard look in the mirror and grow up. And so I\u2019m actually really thankful for all of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
