Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) escalated her rift with President Donald Trump by calling for the 25th Amendment to be invoked against him as voters in Georgia\u2019s 14th Congressional District headed to the polls in the special election to replace her following her January resignation.<\/span><\/p>\n Trump <\/span>warned<\/span><\/a> on Truth Social Tuesday morning that Iran\u2019s \u201cwhole civilization will die tonight\u201d unless \u201csomething revolutionarily wonderful\u201d occurs following what he described as \u201cComplete and Total Regime Change.\u201d He wrote that \u201c47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end,\u201d and said the world would find out Tuesday night during what he called \u201cone of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Greene <\/span>responded<\/span><\/a> on X, \u201c25TH AMENDMENT!!!\u00a0<\/span>Not a single bomb has dropped on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization.\u00a0<\/span>This is evil and madness.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Time Magazine<\/em> explained<\/a> that Section Four of the 25th Amendment to the U.S Constitution \u201callows the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to declare the President unable to discharge his duties and instead vest those powers and duties in the Vice President. \u2026 Congress can also determine by a two-thirds vote whether to permanently remove the President or to return the President to his duties.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Trump has <\/span>supported<\/span><\/a> Clay Fuller since February to replace Greene in Georgia\u2019s 14th District. Fuller serves as district attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit and as a lieutenant colonel and deputy staff judge advocate in the Air National Guard. Trump described Fuller as an \u201cAmerica First Patriot\u201d and said he would help carry out the administration\u2019s agenda in Congress.<\/span><\/p>\n On Monday night, with the special election set for Tuesday, Trump <\/span>urged<\/span><\/a> Republicans in Georgia\u2019s 14th District to vote for Fuller:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n There is a very important Special Election tomorrow, Tuesday, April 7th, in Georgia\u2019s 14th Congressional District! Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow <\/span>said<\/span><\/a> in November that Greene\u2019s decision to leave Congress after five years in office was \u201cdeeply selfish\u201d because it left Republicans with one fewer vote in the House.<\/span><\/p>\n Since leaving Congress in January, Greene has increasingly focused her criticism of Trump on his foreign policy and military action against Iran.<\/span><\/p>\n In March, Greene <\/span>said<\/span><\/a> on CNN that Trump\u2019s military action in Iran was creating a \u201cperverted, deranged version\u201d of MAGA.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThis is not what we campaigned for,\u201d Greene stated. \u201cWe said on every single rally stage, no more foreign wars, no more regime change. It\u2019s time to put America first.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Greene said Trump\u2019s actions were \u201c100% a betrayal\u201d of what voters supported in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n Greene has also <\/span>argued<\/span><\/a> on <\/span>60 Minutes<\/span><\/i>, \u201cFor an \u2018America First\u2019 president, the number one focus should have been domestic policy, and it wasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Greene\u2019s opposition to foreign intervention also led her to align publicly with CODEPINK. In December, CODEPINK cofounder Medea Benjamin <\/span>visited<\/span><\/a> Greene\u2019s Capitol Hill office and later described her as a \u201cstrong anti war voice in congress.\u201d Greene responded that she was \u201cfully against funding foreign wars\u201d and said she had \u201cenjoyed a friendship\u201d with Benjamin \u201cfor a few years.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Trump has <\/span>celebrated<\/span><\/a> her departure from Congress as \u201cgreat news for the country.\u201d In December, he <\/span>declared<\/span><\/a> that Greene was \u201cnot AMERICA FIRST or MAGA.\u201d He also referred to her as \u201cMarjorie \u2018Traitor\u2019 Brown\u201d and said she had become \u201ca very dumb person.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n
