{"id":44420,"date":"2026-04-08T03:56:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T03:56:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=44420"},"modified":"2026-04-08T03:56:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T03:56:19","slug":"georgia-youth-softball-coach-attacks-rival-on-pitchers-mound-in-wild-catfight-caught-on-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=44420","title":{"rendered":"Georgia youth softball coach attacks rival on pitcher&#8217;s mound in wild catfight caught on video"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<br \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Catfight!<\/p>\n<p>A youth softball coach was arrested for allegedly charging at a rival coach at the end of an Easter weekend matchup in Georgia \u2014 as video of the entire brawl has gone viral.<\/p>\n<p>Meredith Haskew Grant, the coach for an 8U softball team, claimed she lost it after some players on the opposing team made fun of her daughter, according to an arrest report obtained by <a href=\"https:\/\/komonews.com\/news\/nation-world\/youth-softball-fight-goes-viral-georgia-coach-charged-with-battery-dalton-wreckers-fury-meredith-haskew-grant-video-facebook-social-media-sports\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">KOMO News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A youth softball coach was charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly attacking a rival team\u2019s staff. <span class=\"credit\">Facebook\/Lauren Stithem<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Grant was seen storming up to one coach after the elementary schoolers finished high-fiving at the end of Saturday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n<p>She cut through the squad of children and pounced on one coach, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/2014432705778184\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to video captured by the rival team<\/a>.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Both women tumbled into the dirt, nearly taking down a little girl in the process. The children fled to their respective dugouts as the women made it back to their feet and continued their catfight, the viral video shows.<\/p>\n<p>A cover of Miley Cyrus\u2019 breakup ballad \u201cWrecking Ball\u201d blared over the speakers while the adults locked horns.<\/p>\n<p>They eventually wound up back in the dirt as more coaches rushed to pull them apart. Ever. For those spreading rumors about what happened, the big eye in the sky doesn\u2019t lie. Do better,\u201d one coach wrote on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>Grant also claimed that one of the rival coaches \u201cgot in her face\u201d during the end-of-game handshakes, according to the arrest report.<\/p>\n<p>Cops, though, determined Grant was the aggressor and charged her with misdemeanor battery.<\/p>\n<p>The state director of the United States Fastpitch Association banned Grant from coaching teams participating in any of their future tournaments. <\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/07\/us-news\/georgia-youth-softball-coach-attacks-rival-on-pitchers-mound-in-catfight-caught-on-video\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Catfight!
