That\u2019s what makes it so difficult for [Michelle\u2019s] character when she loses her husband. In \u201cThe Madison,\u201d Stacy and her family leave Manhattan behind after Preston\u2019s death and move to the rural\u00a0Madison River Valley region\u00a0of Montana,\u00a0the place that he loved the most and where he lost his life.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Stacy, who had never visited Preston\u2019s Montana cabin while he was alive, discovers that there was a side of him that she never knew and regrets she didn\u2019t experience when she had the chance.<\/p>\n
While speaking with The National, Russell said he appreciated how Sheridan balanced the show\u2019s heavy themes with humor, especially in the face of loss.<\/p>\n Russell, who has been in a\u00a0committed relationship\u00a0with Hawn, 80, for over 40 years, admitted that he became emotional while reading about his character\u2019s love story with Stacy as he felt it mirrored his own. Emerson Miller\/Paramount+<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\u201cWhat I like about what Taylor does is he makes it humorous, as well as a lot of gallows humor always, always around it,\u201d Russell said. \u201cThe cog that was in the middle of it all is gone, and you can only deal with it. You can\u2019t get it back.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Madison\u201d went on to become Sheridan\u2019s biggest-ever series launch after the premiere episode reached\u00a08 million global streaming views\u00a0in the first 10 days after its debut on March 14. The final three episodes of the first season were released on March 21, and the show was renewed for a\u00a0second season\u00a0days later.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Filming for the second season has already been completed, though the release date has yet to be announced.<\/p>\n
Despite his character\u2019s death in the premiere, Russell appeared in every episode of \u201cThe Madison\u2019s\u201d first season through flashbacks.. While speaking with The National, Russell shared that the second season will delve further into Preston and Stacy\u2019s relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn many, many ways, it\u2019s better,\u201d he said. \u201cYou see them together a lot.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
