{"id":46177,"date":"2026-04-10T00:02:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T00:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=46177"},"modified":"2026-04-10T00:02:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T00:02:19","slug":"christian-pulisics-ex-girlfriend-alexa-melton-adds-new-layer-to-breakup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=46177","title":{"rendered":"Christian Pulisic&#8217;s ex-girlfriend Alexa Melton adds new layer to breakup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content%2Fuploads%2Fsites%2F2%2F2026%2F04%2FComp_-14.jpg?quality%3D90%26strip%3Dall\" \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>There was a new twist in the split of American soccer star Christian Pulisic and pro golfer Alexa Melton on Thursday, as the glamorous golfer walked back <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/08\/sports\/alexa-melton-reveals-messy-breakup-with-christian-pulisic-was-on-raya-before-it-even-ended\/\">her comments from a day earlier<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In an Instagram story, Melton wrote that comments she made on a \u201cprivate matter\u201d had been \u201ctaken out of context,\u201d seemingly referring to allegations she made the day before that her now ex, Pulisic, was on the exclusive dating app, Raya, before their relationship even ended.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve made some comments on a private matter and it\u2019s been taken out of context,\u201d she wrote. \u201cI received false info. He is not a cheater. Any narrative beyond that is not mine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOut of respect for Christian\u2019s and my privacy, I will not speak further regarding this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Christian Pulisic of Milan and Alexa Melton during AC Milan 125 Years Party at Armani Silos on December 16, 2024 in Milan, Italy.  <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It isn\u2019t clear when the pair broke up, but the couple first gone public with their romance in July 2024 in an Instagram post on Melton\u2019s account.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The photo has since been deleted.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Melton made several comments on an Instagram post on Monday that suggested the two went through a messy breakup, including the suggestion that he was on Raya before they had ended their relationship.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHow many likes to post his Raya profile,\u201d she responded to one comment on her post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMans was on Raya before it even ended,\u201d Melton also wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Pulisic said that he had slid into Melton\u2019s DMs in the Paramount+ docuseries that ran on the streaming service last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Alexa Melton of the United States looks on from the first green during the first round of the U.S. Women\u2019s Open Presented by Ally at Lancaster Country Club on May 30, 2024 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI got the DM and I was like \u2018Who is this dude with 8m followers and why is he DMing me?\u2019\u201d Melton said in an episode. \u201cAnd then I scrolled through his Instagram and I was like \u2018Oh he\u2019s a big-time soccer player.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the show, Pulisic described Melton as \u201ca really special girl\u201d and said that, \u201cI\u2019ve really changed my mentality with and also my faith and that in a lot of ways has sort of led me to her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second time in recent memory that Pulisic\u2019s personal life has made headlines as the American prepares for the World Cup, which is set to take place in June in North America.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The AC Milan midfielder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2025\/12\/28\/christian-pulisic-denies-sydney-sweeney-dating-rumors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was forced to address rumors<\/a> that linked him with actress Sydney Sweeney, despite the fact that the Euphoria star has been romantically linked to Scooter Braun since June of last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Christian Pulisic of United States controls the ball during the international friendly match between United States and Portugal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on March 31, 2026 in Atlanta, Georgia. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Pulisic has been struggling to get on the score sheet for his club team or the U.S. Men\u2019s National Team.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Hershey, Pennsylvania native was with the USMNT during their March camp in Atlanta and appeared in both friendlies against Belgium and Portugal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s frustrating. But I am just going to stay positive.
