\n\tDon\u2019t count out a \u201cHacks<\/a>\u201d reboot just yet. When asked about the possibility of coming back for one, Hannah Einbinder<\/a> told Variety<\/em>, \u201cOf course I would. Any excuse to be with my people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShowrunners Paul W. Downs, Lucia Aniello and Jen Statsky, who have shepherded Deborah Vance and Ava Daniels from Vegas lounge act to late-night wreckage and back again, were characteristically coy when asked whether the story is truly finished. \u201cWe would never say never,\u201d the trio said in unison. \u201cWe love these characters, we love this world, we love everybody in the ensemble. Right now we feel good about going out without overstaying our welcome \u2014 but you won\u2019t have to twist my arm.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe cast and creators of the HBO Max comedy gathered Wednesday night to toast the fifth and final season of the Emmy-winning series, which premieres April 9. Jean Smart<\/a>, Einbinder, Megan Stalter, Mark Indelicato, Rose Abdoo, Robby Hoffman and the showrunning trio were among those who turned out for the occasion. If the red carpet was any indication, nobody is quite ready to say goodbye.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe creators also confirmed they have a new project in early development at HBO, though details remain under wraps.<\/p>\n

\n\tSmart, who arrived in what she described as \u201ca silver version of the gold suit\u201d Deborah wore in Season 1, was equally reflective. \u201cI can\u2019t think of a relationship like Ava\u2019s and Deborah\u2019s that has been in a movie or on television,\u201d she said. \u201cI think the writers just seem to outdo themselves and raise the bar every single solitary season. This may be my favorite season.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tFor Einbinder, who was just 24 when the show began, the emotions have been running high throughout the press tour, and Wednesday night was no exception. \u201cI feel like I grew up and became a human being on this show,\u201d she said. \u201cIt\u2019s a whole Saturn Return and a half.\u201d On finally getting to play Deborah and Ava\u2019s bond at full warmth this season, Einbinder said, \u201cIt\u2019s so fun, and we love sparring too, but it\u2019s nice to be on the same team.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe ensemble reflected on what they\u2019d miss most about the show, and for Stalter, the answer came down to one thing. \u201cWorking with Paul and being that duo with him is what I\u2019m definitely going to miss the most,\u201d she said of Downs, who plays Jimmy. <\/p>\n

\n\tStalter had post-\u201cHacks\u201d news to share. \u201cI\u2019m also getting a lot of plastic surgery,\u201d she deadpanned. \u201cHuge breasts and different legs. There\u2019s also a secret project that\u2019s going to be revealed along with my new ass and legs. Two different things happening in my life.\u201d As for coming back if a reboot materialized, Stalter quipped, \u201cYes. For free \u2014 or $5 million that I can share with the cast.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tOthers credited the show with reviving their love of the craft entirely. \u201cPaul, Lucia and Jen gave me an opportunity where there really wasn\u2019t that much opportunity for me at the time,\u201d Indelicato, who plays Deborah\u2019s assistant Damien said. \u201cThey reinvigorated my career \u2014 and not just my hirability, but my love for what it is that we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 10-episode final season drops weekly through the series finale on May 28.<\/p>\n
