Orb\u00e1n visits Fidesz stronghold of Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r on penultimate campaign day<\/h2>\n

I am on my way to one of the last Viktor Orb\u00e1n<\/a> rallies,<\/strong> in Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r,<\/strong> a city an hour away from Budapest where the Fidesz mayor previously won about 70 percent of the votes.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn Sz\u00e9kesfeh\u00e9rv\u00e1r, the city leadership is quite loyal to Fidesz,<\/strong>\u201d said M\u00e1ty\u00e1s B\u00f3di<\/strong>, an analyst at the Electoral Geography website.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut Fidesz won here in the past mainly because of the opposition\u2019s lack of unity,<\/strong> and the fact that voting districts were completely redistricted* by the end of 2024 also contributed to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

By \u201credistricted\u201d he essentially means redrawn \u2013 and largely to benefit the government.<\/p>\n
