\u2014 after <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/08\/24\/us-news\/freak-hot-tub-incident-almost-kills-2-women-on-girls-trip-at-remote-kentucky-cabin-nearly-turned-tragic\/\">he was sucked into a hot tub filter<\/a>, authorities said Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Little Matteo Brandimarti was playing in a jacuzzi at the upscale Duca di Montefeltro Hotel in Pennabilli on Easter Sunday morning when his leg got dragged into a filter of the tub, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/news\/16204909\/boy-dies-sucked-hot-tub-filter-italian-hotel-holiday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to The Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Brandimarti was pulled underwater as the hot tub\u2019s hydromassage function was going, and was stuck there for nearly five minutes, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><button class=\"button button--modal-trigger\" aria-label=\"Open the image in a modal.\" data-modal-image=\"39051828\"><br \/>\n\t<svg xmlns=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" class=\"icon-plus\" fill=\"#fff\" viewbox=\"0 0 1033 1000\" width=\"1em\" height=\"1em\"><path d=\"M380 the child.<\/p>\n<p>But the boy, who was rushed to the hospital via helicopter, was already in critical condition.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>He was pronounced brain dead on Thursday, and his family plans to switch off life support equipment, according to local media.<\/p>\n<figure
