{"id":47517,"date":"2026-04-11T09:51:03","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T09:51:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=47517"},"modified":"2026-04-11T09:51:03","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T09:51:03","slug":"artemis-ii-crew-returns-to-earth-after-moon-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=47517","title":{"rendered":"Artemis II Crew Returns to Earth After Moon Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">The crew of the Artemis II returns to Earth after completing their NASA mission flying around the Moon on Friday, April 10.<\/p>\n<p>The astronauts aboard the Artemis II are completing their 10-day mission to circle and gather data from the Moon in America\u2019s first mission to Earth\u2019s satellite since 1972.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/artemis-ii-crew-caps-historic-lunar-flyby-with-call-from-trump\/\">spoke<\/a> with the crew on Monday, lauding them as modern-day explorers that embodied the American spirit:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cToday, you\u2019ve made history and made all of America really proud, incredibly proud,\u201d Trump told NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover and Christina Koch and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen as they floated in the Orion capsule.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">\u201cThere\u2019s nothing like what you\u2019re doing, circling around the moon for the first time in more than half a century and breaking the all-time record for the farthest distance from planet Earth \u2014 humans have never seen anything quite like what you\u2019re doing,\u201d the president said, thanking each astronaut individually, including Hansen, calling them \u201cmodern pioneers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAmerica is back. And America is back in many ways stronger than ever before.
