\n\tRalph Fiennes<\/a> thinks the \u201cship has sailed\u201d for him to reprise the role of Voldemort, but he\u2019d be more than happy to pass the wand to another acclaimed British actor: Tilda Swinton<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tDuring an appearance on \u201cThe Claudia Winkleman Show\u201d on Friday night, Fiennes was questioned about HBO\u2019s upcoming \u201cHarry Potter<\/a>\u201d series and the rumors surrounding who will take on the role of the Dark Lord.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI remember being asked the question once we\u2019d shot the total film series, would I reprise the part, and this was some years ago. I said, \u2018Yes, I\u2019d love to,’\u201d Fiennes revealed. \u201cBut then nothing\u2019s happened and I think that ship has sailed.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tHowever, he added: \u201cBut I\u2019ll tell you, Tilda Swinton was mentioned somewhere as being a contender, and I think she would be amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tIndeed, Swinton\u2019s name has been whispered to be in the mix for the part alongside Cillian Murphy, though the \u201cOppenheimer\u201d and \u201cPeaky Blinders\u201d star recently shut down the rumors<\/a>. <\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI don\u2019t know anything about that,\u201d Murphy said on Josh Horowitz\u2019s \u201cHappy Sad Confused\u201d podcast. \u201cAlso, it\u2019s just really hard to follow anything Ralph Fiennes does. The man is an absolute acting legend, so good luck to whoever\u2019s gonna fill those shoes.\u201d <\/p>\n
