Breitbart News caught up with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/leebrice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brice<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and his wife, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sara_brice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sara<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a co-writer on the song, for an exclusive interview in which we learned about this song\u2019s journey from ideation to fruition, and that journey started with a title.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A little over a year and a half ago, a good friend and collaborator, multi-platinum songwriter, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/jonstone02\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jon Stone<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, called the Brices late one night, excited about a title for a song. When <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/leebrice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sara_brice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sara<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> heard the title <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/leebrice.komi.io\/?utm_source=ig&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_content=link_in_bio&amp;fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQMMjU2MjgxMDQwNTU4AAGn5y04yA5ElJkENSMoQZEuI1XuPJfTp-Kwb9g6gqjv471Y53CaTl0mRvh3xjU_aem_3F8DUS-bqcKX6yQ5d9TMzg\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the Kingdom Comes<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, they both knew immediately they had to pursue it. But sometimes life gets in the way and timing provides a hurdle. He had the melody and the imagery. It was the verses they needed to hone in on.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sara_brice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sara<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> told us that child trafficking was heavy on her mind at the time and not only that, her younger half-sister has been cutting herself, was broken and \u201cin a really bad place and questioning her faith.\u201d So, when the writers began to discuss ideas <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sara_brice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sara<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said \u201cI picture hungry kids.\u201d And then <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/billymontana1\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Montana<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said \u201ca hungry kid on a dirty floor,\u201d and added \u201ca lonely man and his silver Porsche\u201d and Lee added \u201ca single mom on her second shift,\u201d and then thinking of his wife\u2019s sister, the final line revealed itself, \u201ca teenage girl with scars on her wrist.\u201d This is the songwriting process.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/billymontana1\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Montana<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> described the writing process that night to Breitbart News: \u201cI remember feeling like the whole night was one of those \u2018meant to be\u2019 moments\u2026 hanging out on the back porch in the quiet night air, it all just felt like it was supposed to happen. I got chills several times during the writing process \u2013 something that rarely happens. For <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/leebrice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, the idea of the song was originally about a \u201cbig destination moment\u2026there\u2019s gonna be a time when everything is gonna be okay,\u201d he told us. \u00a0A sentiment powerfully on display in the chorus lyric:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>When the Kingdom comes<\/em><br \/><em> When we see the Son<\/em><br \/><em> Rollin\u2019 back the sky<\/em><br \/><em> There\u2019ll be nothin\u2019 left<\/em><br \/><em> Nothin\u2019 left but love<\/em><br \/><em> When the Kingdom comes<\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But as he lived with the song, Lee told us he started thinking \u201cevery day right here is heaven on earth. You know, the Kingdom can come for you tomorrow\u2026the Kingdom is every day you wake up. That\u2019s what Jesus intended for us.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When asked what he wants listeners to take away from the song, one word summed it up for <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/leebrice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lee<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2026..hope.\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sara_brice\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sara<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> chimed in with some scripture: \u201cDon\u2019t be anxious.
