Vice President JD Vance said on Saturday evening that the U.S. delegation has decided to leave peace talks with Iran in Pakistan after the Islamist regime refused to agree to America\u2019s terms.<\/p>\n
Speaking alongside White House Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad, Vice President Vance said that after 21 hours of talks, it became clear that no agreement with Iran could be reached and that U.S. negotiators have therefore decided to walk away from the table.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians, that\u2019s the good news. The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement, and I think that\u2019s bad news for Iran, much more than it is for the United States of America. So we go back to the United States of America without an agreement,\u201d Vance said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve made very clear what our red lines are, what things we\u2019re willing to accommodate them on, and what things we\u2019re not willing to accommodate them on, and we\u2019ve made that as clear as we possibly could, and may have chosen not to accept our terms,\u201d Vance said.<\/p>\n
