Chris Bowen says 57 ships carrying fuel en route to Australia<\/h2>\n<\/header>\n

The energy minister, Chris Bowen<\/strong>, says 57 ships carrying various types of fuel \u2013 crude oil, jet fuel, diesel and petrol \u2013 are on their way to Australia, \u201cabout standard\u201d for this time of year.<\/p>\n

Bowen held a press conference a moment ago, saying 4.1bn litres of fuel were locked in and contracted to head to Australia over the next four weeks.<\/p>\n

Bowen said:<\/p>\n

double quotation mark<\/title><\/svg>We have on hand 38 days\u2019 worth of petrol, which is a very good outcome for Australia. As you will have noticed these figures haven\u2019t moved around all that much over the last month or so.<\/p>\n
