The president gave her a $100 tip.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2043736844144124206\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapidResponse47\/status\/2043736844144124206\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis doesn\u2019t look staged, does it?\u201d Trump quipped as he received the two bags.<\/p>\n<p>The White House noted that Simmons, whose husband is battling cancer, made $11,000 in tips last year.<\/p>\n<p>Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, qualified tipped workers can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2026\/01\/20\/trumps-top-accomplishments-first-year-golden-age\/\">deduct<\/a> up to $25,000 of their tipped income beginning this tax season. The policy delivers on one of the president\u2019s core campaign promises: \u201cNo tax on tips.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">According to the White House, Simmons is able to supplement her husband\u2019s reduction in income, make payments on debt from the treatment, and pay for travel expenses for her family.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"\/>\n<p>The act allows for qualified overtime workers to use a $12,500 deduction as well.
