PFAS have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/cancer\/risk-prevention\/chemicals\/teflon-and-perfluorooctanoic-acid-pfoa.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">linked<\/a> to various health issues, including infertility and cancer.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"\/>\n<p>Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the investigation on Monday, explaining that the Lone Star State will determine if the brand \u201cmisled consumers about the safety, quality, and health impacts of its products.\u201d It cites \u201cemerging research and consumer concerns\u201d over the potential presence of \u201ccertain synthetic materials and chemical compounds in their apparel that may be associated with endocrine disruption, infertility, cancer, and other health issues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/attorney-general-ken-paxton-launches-investigation-lululemon-over-potential-presence-toxic-forever\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">press release<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Attorney General Paxton\u2019s investigation will examine whether Lululemon\u2019s athletic apparel contains PFAS or \u201cforever chemicals\u201d that their health-conscious customers would not expect based on the brand\u2019s marketing. The Office of the Attorney General will also review the company\u2019s Restricted Substances List, testing protocols, and supply chain practices to determine whether Lululemon\u2019s products comply with its stated safety standards.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Paxton said in a statement, \u201cAmericans should not have to worry if they are being deceived when trying to make healthy choices for themselves and their families.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<p>\u201cI will not allow any corporation to sell harmful, toxic materials to consumers at a premium price under the guise of wellness and sustainability,\u201d he said, promising accountability. \u201cIf Lululemon has violated Texas law, it will be held accountable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2043711694107504789\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KenPaxtonTX\/status\/2043711694107504789\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The investigation comes as American pivots to the Make American Healthy Again (MAHA) agenda, prompting many consumers to think deeper about what they are both consuming and wearing.<\/p>\n<p>The victories continue to pile up as the Trump administration has placed an emphasis on health \u2013\u00a0from efforts to ensure that America\u2019s drinking water is safe from microplastics, pharmaceuticals, and \u201cforever chemicals\u201d to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/health\/2026\/02\/27\/maha-win-target-to-require-cereals-sold-in-its-stores-to-ditch-synthetic-dyes-by-end-of-may\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">removal<\/a> of artificial dyes from food favorites.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced that the administration is placing microplastics and pharmaceuticals on the Contaminant Candidate List.<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2039795847639240893\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EPA\/status\/2039795847639240893\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>All the while, major retailers are pivoting, prioritizing health for consumer products<\/p>\n<p>Cara Sylvester, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of Target, said consumers are \u201cincreasingly prioritizing healthier lifestyles, and we\u2019re moving quickly to evolve offerings to meet their needs.\u201d Because of that, the company is requiring all cereals sold to remove their artificial dyes by the end of May.<\/p>\n<p>Other major companies \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2025\/06\/17\/food-giant-kraft-heinz-announces-plans-to-end-artificial-dyes-by-end-of-2027\/\">Kraft Heinz<\/a><span class=\"s2\">,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/health\/2025\/06\/17\/general-mills-ditch-artificial-colors-u-s-cereals-school-foods\/\">General Mills<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2025\/06\/26\/maha-nestle-to-remove-fdc-colors-by-mid-2026\/\">Nestl\u00e9, and Conagra Brands Inc.<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 have made similar changes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2026\/04\/13\/texas-launches-investigation-into-lululemon-over-potential-presence-of-forever-chemicals-in-apparel\/\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Texas is launching an investigation into the major athletic apparel brand Lululemon Athletica Inc. over the potential presence of \u201cforever chemicals\u201d in the apparel.
