{"id":50141,"date":"2026-04-14T04:38:32","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T04:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=50141"},"modified":"2026-04-14T04:38:32","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T04:38:32","slug":"nasarawa-apc-rallies-for-wadadas-governorship-ambition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=50141","title":{"rendered":"Nasarawa APC rallies for Wadada\u2019s governorship ambition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<br \/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In what has been described as a massive show of support for\u00a0 Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada\u2019s governorship ambition in Nasarawa State, not a few stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress took to the streets of Lafia to express their solidarity\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Arewa PUNCH reports that the crowd during the solidarity rally marched to the party\u2019s state secretariat and the Government House on Monday.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to our correspondent, Senator Wadada currently represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District at the National Assembly under the platform of the APC.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While addressing the mammoth crowd, the Chairman of the solidarity group under the aegis of Wadada Ambassadors, Zaidu Aliyu Tanko, expressed their unwavering support for Senator Wadada\u2019s candidacy, citing his track record of service, leadership, and vision for the state\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said, \u201cSenator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada possesses the requisite skills and experience to lead Nasarawa State towards sustainable growth and prosperity. His passion for service, integrity, and ability to connect with diverse groups makes him an ideal candidate.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a result, the group urged the APC leadership and the government of Nasarawa State to consider Senator Wadada\u2019s aspiration, recognising his political strength and unmatched potential to lead the state to greater heights.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tanko further noted that a letter of recommendation had been submitted to the APC leadership in the state, to buttress the point that Wadada is the most experienced and qualified aspirant to sustain the good legacies of Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2027.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis rally is a demonstration of the party\u2019s unity and support for Senator Wadada\u2019s governorship bid, with supporters calling on others to rally behind his candidacy and work towards building a brighter future for Nasarawa State,\u201d he added.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On his part, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Bello, while receiving the group, urged Senator Wadada\u2019s supporters to maintain unity and focus on the state\u2019s development as the party prepares for the 2027 governorship elections. <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He commended the group for their civility and conduct, saying they had demonstrated a positive approach to politics by selling their candidate without insulting others.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI want to sincerely commend the Wadada Ambassadors for their civility, for their conduct, as you sell your candidate without insulting anybody. Sell your candidate without insulting other aspirants. I commend most of our aspirants. I have seen their rallies without insults,\u201d he stressed.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bello, who also emphasised that unity is crucial for the party\u2019s success, explained that the APC seeks to maintain power in Nasarawa State beyond 2027.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe APC wants to maintain power in Nasarawa State in 2027 and beyond. So please, as you are proceeding with your rally to wherever you are going to sell your candidate, I urge you not to insult anybody. Don\u2019t abuse anybody.
