It was a last-minute surprise,\u201d says a source.\u00a0\u201cThe song is from a forthcoming Grimes project and more to come in 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Her last performance at the festival, in 2024, was something of a debacle. She was left screaming in frustration onstage after a series of technical problems.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Our source said she\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/04\/01\/hollywood\/natasha-lyonne-grimes-bolt-from-schitts-creek-stars-a-list-party-after-just-10-minutes\/\"> made a few live<\/a> appearances since that incident, but \u201cshe\u2019s been offline working on a new project. More will emerge soon!\u201d they said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, she\u2019s been knee-deep <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/12\/15\/parents\/grimes-accuses-ex-elon-musk-of-nasty-social-media-move-as-co-parenting-drama-rages-on\/\">in legal dramas<\/a> with her billionaire baby-daddy.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cOblivion\u201d singer has three kids \u2014 X \u00c6 A-Xii, Exa Dark Sider\u00e6l and Techno Mechanicus \u2014 with the SpaceX founder from their on-and-off relationship href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/09\/14\/entertainment\/elon-musk-and-kanye-west-dish-on-grimes-kim-kardashian-relationship-drama\/\">in an ugly custody battle<\/a> across two states, Texas and California.<\/p>\n<p>At one point, the singer claimed she had been<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/article\/elon-musk-children\/\"> separated from one <\/a>of her children for five months.<\/p>\n<p>Last July, Grimes\u2019 mother wrote publicly to Musk on\u00a0social media, saying,\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m writing here as the only way I have to reach you.
