But he fled the country before his sentence began, Brazil\u2019s federal police said. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><button class=\"button button--modal-trigger\" Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The foreign fugitive appeared on a list of those in custody on ICE\u2019s online detainee database on Monday, though it did not note where he was being detained or where he had been caught.<\/p>\n<p>Brazil\u2019s federal police also announced in a statement early on Monday that a \u201cfugitive of the country\u2019s justice\u201d who was recently sentenced by the country\u2019s top court had been nabbed in Orlando, without naming Ramagen. <\/p>\n<p>The arrest of the unidentified individual was the \u200bresult of cooperation between the law enforcement in both countries, police officials said.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Paulo Figueiredo, \u200ba Bolsonaro ally living in the US, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/pfigueiredo08\/status\/2043740722902237642\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote on X<\/a> that Remagen was detained following a \u201cminor traffic infraction,\u201d and subsequently referred to ICE officials, though his account has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators learned that Ramagen, 53, used spy software to track the locations of Supreme Court justices, lawmakers, journalists, and public officials, and monitored investigations involving Bolsonaro\u2019s sons to keep an eye on the former president\u2019s opponents,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2026\/apr\/13\/brazil-former-spy-chief-arrested-us-ice-alexandre-ramagem\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> the Guardian Brazil\u2019s lower house after his conviction, the outlet reported. <\/p>\n<p>Brazilian Sen.
