PARIS \u2014 In a few hours, one lucky winner will find themselves the owner of a Pablo Picasso painting<\/a> for less than $120.<\/p>\n A raffle in France is offering the chance to win a $1 million portrait by the Spanish artist for the price of a 100-euro ticket ($117), with proceeds going to\u00a0Alzheimer\u2019s\u00a0research<\/a>. <\/p>\n The draw takes place later Tuesday at Christie\u2019s auction house in Paris.<\/p>\n The third iteration of the \u201c1 Picasso for 100 euros\u201d lottery is for Picasso\u2019s \u201cHead of a Woman,\u201d with proceeds going to\u00a0Alzheimer\u2019s\u00a0research.<\/p>\n The gouache on paper was painted by Picasso<\/a> in 1941.<\/p>\n \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMorning Report delivers the latest news, videos, photos and more.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n The first such raffle\u00a0in 2013<\/a>\u00a0saw\u00a0a Pennsylvania man who worked at a fire-sprinkler business<\/a>\u00a0win \u201cMan in the Opera Hat,\u201d which the Spanish master painted in 1914 during his Cubist period.<\/p>\n The oil-on-canvas \u201cStill Life\u201d was raffled off in 2020 and made a very happy mom of Claudia Borgogno, an accountant in Italy whose son\u00a0bought her the ticket<\/a>\u00a0as a Christmas present.<\/p>\n Painted in 1921, that painting was purchased for the raffle from billionaire art collector David Nahmad, who argued in\u00a0an Associated Press interview<\/a>\u00a0that Picasso would have approved of raffling his work.
