Democrats did not turn a blind eye to Rep. Eric Swalwell\u2019s (D-CA) alleged behavior, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said during an appearance at the\u00a0American Public Transportation Association\u2019s legislative conference this week, stating that she had \u201cno idea whatsoever\u201d about these accusations.<\/p>\n
Pelosi, 86, was confronted on whether or not Democrats have turned a \u201cblind eye\u201d to the sexual misconduct accusations against Swalwell, who has since suspended<\/a> his gubernatorial campaign and announced a coming resignation from Congress.<\/p>\n \u201cNo. That\u2019s not true,\u201d Pelosi denied. \u201cThat is absolutely positive \u2014 and it is true that they may say that, but it is absolutely not true.\u201d<\/p>\n When asked if Pelosi had any idea about the accusations against Swalwell personally, she denied yet again.<\/p>\n \u201cNone whatsoever. None whatsoever. I had none whatsoever,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
