The crash happened near the Washington Street exit.<\/p>\n<p>The crash decimated both trucks, leaving them torn apart and heavily damaged. It is unclear what companies the cement truck or big rig worked for.<\/p>\n<p>The big rig appeared to be white and the cement truck had a red cab with a yellow cement container. <\/p>\n<p>Local truck drivers told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcpalmsprings.com\/2026\/04\/14\/update-chp-revises-big-rig-crash-details-on-i10-in-thousand-palms-now-8-vehicles-involved\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC Palm Springs<\/a> that<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/04\/14\/us-news\/killer-fedex-driver-googled-if-his-trucks-cameras-constantly-record-after-murdering-7-year-old-athena-strand\/\"> long hours and fatigue<\/a> are a main concern in the truck-driving industry and emphasized rest and awareness for drivers.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic along Interstate 10 heading westbound was heavily impacted from the crash, with several lanes closed.
