Never in my life have I seen any transaction so incompetently negotiated as our deal with Iran.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"da512fe1-9194-4b81-9de5-72f1cd37b1f6\" data-spacefinder-role=\"inline\" data-spacefinder-type=\"model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.VideoYoutubeBlockElement\" class=\"dcr-173mewl\">\n<div data-component=\"youtube-embed\" class=\"dcr-13aa88h\">\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/rG4pBF8pVi4?wmode=opaque&amp;feature=oembed\" title=\"Trump Threatens War with Iran Over Nuclear Program He Claimed He Obliterated: A Closer Look\" height=\"480\" width=\"854\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Meyers took the opportunity to factcheck this. \u201cYour companies went bankrupt six times,\u201d he remarked, before listing Trump\u2019s failed business ventures, including Trump Airlines, Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump Vitamins and Trump: The Game, a Trumpified version of Monopoly. \u201cSeriously, can you imagine sitting at home and playing this with your family?\u201d asked the host. \u201c\u2018Oh, looks like I landed on Community Chest.\u2019 It says: \u2018Uh oh, you slept with a pornstar! Pay $130,000.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Meyers went on to discuss the inefficacy of US strikes on Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities in June 2025 as part of \u201cOperation Midnight Hammer\u201d, which reportedly only set the country\u2019s nuclear efforts back half a year. \u201cAll that for six months?\u201d the host reacted. \u201cAre you sure it wasn\u2019t \u2018Operation Midnight Love Tap\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">In response to questions around the attacks, Republicans sent out one of whom Meyers sarcastically called \u201cone of their top notch communicators\u201d, Markwayne Mullin, a US senator from Oklahoma. These people couldn\u2019t get a job running a Chuck-E-Cheese, let along Pizzagate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cOr, they could bring in someone who Epstein called his closet friend, someone who likes women on the younger side: someone like this gentleman in the pink tie,\u201d Kimmel said, playing a video of a friendly encounter between Epstein and Trump wearing a fuchsia tie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Kimmel then turned to another sexual abuse case that has been making headlines: the co-inventor of the Squatty Potty, Robert Edwards, has been arrested for allegedly buying child sexual abuse material. \u201cWho could have ever guessed that this man might possibly be a weirdo,\u201d said the host, showing a picture of Edwards wearing a suit and demonstrating how to use the restroom helper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">\u201cI\u2019m not sure how prison works, but I\u2019m pretty sure that it\u2019s not a good idea to get locked up for child pornography and be the Squatty Potty guy at the same time,\u201d added Kimmel.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"stephen-colbert\" class=\"dcr-n4qeq9\"><strong>Stephen Colbert<\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure id=\"1380e410-2709-4f73-803b-95a5e188a91a\" data-spacefinder-role=\"inline\" data-spacefinder-type=\"model.dotcomrendering.pageElements.VideoYoutubeBlockElement\" class=\"dcr-173mewl\">\n<div data-component=\"youtube-embed\" class=\"dcr-13aa88h\">\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/d7ULG18yrGU?wmode=opaque&amp;feature=oembed\" title=\"Camel Controversy | Iran\u2019s Nukes: Obliterated, Or A Week Away? | America\u2019s Top Doctor Isn\u2019t A Doctor\" height=\"480\" width=\"854\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Stephen Colbert described himself as \u201cstill reeling\u201d from Trump\u2019s State of the Union address earlier that week, noting that ratings were down 11%. \u201cIf I were CBS, I\u2019d cancel him,\u201d the host quipped, referencing his own recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/tv-and-radio\/2026\/feb\/17\/colbert-trump-administration-censorship-cbs\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">censorship dispute<\/a> with The Late Show\u2019s network.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">Colbert moved on to discuss the Middle East by noting that the region is on a knife-edge after \u2026 a camel beauty contest was hit by a botox cheating scandal. After lighthearted remarks on the bizarre story, the host moved to discuss US-Iran tensions, playing a clip of the special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, on Fox News, where he claimed that Iran was a week away from having industrial-grade bomb-making material.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dcr-130mj7b\">This doesn\u2019t align with Trump\u2019s claims last year that the US had \u201ccompletely obliterated\u201d the country\u2019s nuclear facilities. Reacting to a Politico headline that read \u201cAmerica prepares for war\u201d, Colbert responded: \u201cAmerica is not preparing for war. America is going with some friends to see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/film\/2026\/feb\/26\/scream-7-review-neve-campbell#:~:text=The%20run%20continues%2C%20albeit%20with,screen%20with%20wounds%20on%20show.\" data-link-name=\"in body link\">Scream 7<\/a>. Can we put a pin in war for now?
