said Summer Collins, chief AI and data director at One NZ.<\/p>\n<p id=\"ef49268d-9927-4d7f-8ada-9b9778727ec4\">Ryan Asdourian, EVP and CMO, Lumen Technologies, said AI agents have helped the company save \u201cmore than 300 hours of productivity for our teams every week\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"elk-d6a5eb4c-2690-4805-984c-53b31cf51686\"\/><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"tackling-telecoms-challenges-3\">Tackling telecoms challenges<\/h2>\n<p id=\"0fdc21aa-a280-4120-8c6f-144b0a63b1df\">Salesforce said the launch of the new sector-specific agents come amidst a period of intense modernization for the telecoms industry, which is facing a \u201crevenue paradox\u201d.<\/p>\n<p id=\"bcc03d10-1533-4bc5-bda3-d2cd7f49cf09\">\u201cTelcos have spent years investing in massive 5G infrastructure and digital experience projects only to discover that they barely preserved the revenue they already had,\u201d the <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/marketing-comms\/customer-relationship-management-crm\/362323\/best-crm-apps\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/marketing-comms\/customer-relationship-management-crm\/362323\/best-crm-apps\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/marketing-comms\/customer-relationship-management-crm\/362323\/best-crm-apps\">CRM <\/a>giant said in an announcement.<\/p>\n<p id=\"600b0d5d-760f-4401-afca-e77eb091011b\">Industry growth is expected to slow to 2.9% by 2029, raising concerns about long-term revenue stagnation.<\/p>\n<p id=\"a29089d2-7404-46a7-ae75-8c27c7da4b52\">Salesforce thinks the answer to that question lies in automation by equipping teams with AI solutions aimed at <a data-analytics-id=\"inline-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/software\/development\/developer-burnout-has-reached-epidemic-proportions-and-manual-toil-is-a-key-factor\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/software\/development\/developer-burnout-has-reached-epidemic-proportions-and-manual-toil-is-a-key-factor\" data-hl-processed=\"none\" data-mrf-recirculation=\"inline-link\" data-before-rewrite-localise=\"https:\/\/www.itpro.com\/software\/development\/developer-burnout-has-reached-epidemic-proportions-and-manual-toil-is-a-key-factor\">reducing manual toil<\/a> for staff and streamlining customer service operations.<\/p>\n<p id=\"df4fc0f2-c16a-48d5-9227-f0c0bbe43afa\">Notably, the custom agents launched as part of the service have \u201cdeep context into the customer\u201d as they\u2019ve been trained on internal data held by telecoms operators.
