There will be a Six Month phase out period for Agencies like the Department of War who are using Anthropic\u2019s products, at various levels.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Breitbart News\u2019s Lucas Nolan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2026\/02\/27\/jeopardizing-critical-military-operations-anthropic-refuses-to-comply-with-pentagon-demands-on-ai\/\">reported<\/a> that Anthropic is engaged in \u201ccontentious negotiations with the Pentagon,\u201d and that the \u201cdispute centers on Anthropic\u2019s insistence on specific safeguards regarding how its AI models\u201d can be used by the Department of War:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>CNBC reports that AI startup Anthropic finds itself locked in contentious negotiations with the Pentagon over the terms of its defense contract, with discussions remaining ongoing as of Thursday.
