{"id":7104,"date":"2026-02-28T04:26:36","date_gmt":"2026-02-28T04:26:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=7104"},"modified":"2026-02-28T04:26:36","modified_gmt":"2026-02-28T04:26:36","slug":"man-charged-with-stabbing-woman-to-death","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foreignnewstoday.com\/?p=7104","title":{"rendered":"Man Charged with Stabbing Woman to Death"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"subheading\">The man accused of being behind the fatal stabbing of a 41-year-old woman at a bus stop in Fairfax County, Virginia, was charged with second-degree murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">In a press release from the Fairfax County Police Department, it was <a href=\"https:\/\/fcpdnews.wordpress.com\/2026\/02\/25\/man-charged-for-hybla-valley-homicide\/\">revealed<\/a> that on Monday night, around 7:16 p.m., officers \u201cresponded to Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive in Hybla Valley for a death investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"\/>\n<p>Police officers discovered Stephanie Minter \u201cin the bus stop shelter with multiple stab wounds to the upper body,\u201d and after attempting to perform \u201clife-saving measures until relieved by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel,\u201d Minter was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives reportedly identified Abdul Jalloh, 32, through video footage and interviews as being \u201cthe last person seen with Minter,\u201d according to the press release. Minter and Jalloh reportedly both got off of the bus \u201cat Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/t\/assets\/html\/tweet-5.html#2027097796055273861\" data-btlnk=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NickMinock\/status\/2027097796055273861\" class=\"bnn-if-tweet\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"260\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" allowtransparency=\"true\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The next day, on January February 24, police officers found Jalloh \u201cand connected him to a larceny that occurred earlier in the day.\u201d Jalloh was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, according to the press release:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a9d\"\/>\n<blockquote>\n<p>On February 24, at 4:01 p.m., officers responded to the 8600 block of Richmond Highway in Woodlaw for a suspicious person call. An employee recognized Jalloh as the person of interest when he entered a business and immediately contacted police. Officers quickly located Jalloh and connected him to a larceny that occurred earlier in the day in the 8700 block Richmond Highway in Woodlawn. He was arrested and transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with Petit Larceny, where he was held on no bond.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>On February 25, Jalloh was found to be \u201cresponsible for the fatal stabbing of Minter,\u201d and police officers obtained a warrant, according to the press release.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia criminal records show that Jalloh \u201chas a lengthy criminal history,\u201d which includes charges such as \u201cassault larceny, assault and felony malicious wounding,\u201d NBC Washington <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcwashington.com\/news\/local\/northern-virginia\/suspect-charged-victim-identified-in-fatal-hybla-valley-bus-stop-stabbing\/4067105\/\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Jalloh has a lengthy criminal history, according to Virginia criminal case records, which includes multiple assault larceny, assault and felony malicious wounding charges in May and August 2025.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In a statement, the Fairfax County Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney\u2019s Office explained to the outlet that while the office was \u201caware of the risk Jalloh poised to the community,\u201d \u201cthe defendant in this case also had a history of selecting victims with no fixed address.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn multiple cases, we were unable to move forward with prosecution because victims could not be located or contacted,\u201d the office explained.<\/p>\n<p class=\"a9d-pre\">According to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Jalloh \u201centered the United States illegally in 2012,\u201d Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/dem-governor-under-fire-after-illegal-alien-allegedly-stabs-woman-death-bus-stop\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a9d adSo\"\/>\n<p>While Democrats in the state have campaigned on issues such as \u201caffordability,\u201d Democrat lawmakers have opted to pursue a radical agenda of weak-on-crime policies.<\/p>\n<p>One bill, House Bill 863, \u201cwould reduce mandatory minimum sentences for certain offenses,\u201d while another, House Bill 247, would allow people to \u201cdefend themselves in court against a felony charge of assault on a police officer by showing they had a mental illness or an intellectual or developmental disability,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/wset.com\/news\/local\/virginia-state-legislature-richmond-mandatory-minimum-sentences-offense-dui-felony-assault-intellection-disability-mental-illness-accountability-jail-prison-crime-safety-driving-drinking-commonwealth\">according to<\/a> ABC13 News.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia State Delegate Rae Cousins (D), who sponsored HB 863, explained that \u201cHB 863 is a common-sense proposal that eliminates the requirement for one-size-fits-all minimum sentences for certain crimes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares responded to the news of the fatal stabbing of Minter, pointing out that \u201cthe innocent suffer when \u2018catch and release\u2019 policies by leftwing prosecutors get in charge.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c30 prior arrests and 5 prior felony malicious wounding charges since 2023 alone,\u201d Miyares wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JasonMiyaresVA\/status\/2027370848194056685\">post<\/a> on X. \u201cOnce again the innocent suffer when \u2018catch and release\u2019 policies by leftwing prosecutors get in charge.
