Cyberpunk 2077 fans have been eagerly awaiting any official news from CD Projekt Red regarding the long-awaited follow-up to the iconic game, currently code-named Project Orion. The second mainline game in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe promises to be a groundbreaking open-world experience, though there’s still no confirmed release window at the moment.
However, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 have another sequel to look forward to that they won’t have to wait long for at all, with the next major installment of the beloved Dark Horse Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome series releasing on March 11, 2026.
Cyberpunk 2077 Gets New Sequel Next Week
Return To Night City In A New Horror Adventure
Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome #2 is the second installment in a four-part comic book series from author Doug Wagner and illustrator Tommaso Bennato that follows a rag-tag group of friends on various horror-themed endeavors across Night City. The series is created in close partnership with CD Projekt Red, developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, and continues where the first entry in the series left off.
Chrome #2 follows our protagonists as they’re “surrounded by piles of garbage, junk, and now… bodies!” There’s “a mysterious killer” on the loose, and they must take “refuge … with the ruthless gang known as the Scavengers.” All four entries in the series are 32-page, beautifully illustrated comics that retail for roughly $5, available at local comic book shops and at select online stores.
Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome Is Stunning
There Are Still Two More Chrome Adventures To Come
If you haven’t had a chance to take a look at the first Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome issue, it’s well worth checking out and getting caught up before the second releases on March 11. There are four issues planned for the series in total, with #3 set to release on May 13 and #4 slated for release before the end of the year.
Further, once all issues have been published, a full-volume collection will be released that includes all four adventures, which is currently planned for November 2026.
Each issue features incredible artwork from illustrator Tommaso Bennato, who did cover art for Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher: The Edge of the World, as well as renowned colorist Rico Renzi, who worked on the stunning Sea of Stars JRPG from developers at Sabotage Studio. Alongside Wagner’s authentic and unique slasher-inspired storytelling and intriguing character development, Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome deserves a slot in any fan’s collection.
