أعلنت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، استخدامها صواريخ الاستهداف الدقيق بعيدة المدى «بريزم» لأول مرة في الحرب مع إيران.
وقالت القيادة المركزية: «في سابقة تاريخية، استُخدمت صواريخ الاستهداف الدقيق بعيدة المدى «بريزم» في القتال خلال عملية الغضب الملحمي، مما وفّر قدرة غير مسبوقة على توجيه ضربات عميقة».
وقال قائد القيادة المركزية الأمريكية الأدميرال براد كوبر: «أنا فخور للغاية برجالنا ونسائنا في القوات المسلحة الذين يوظفون الابتكار لجعل العدو في موقف حرج».
وأوضحت القيادة المركزية أن قواتها تمكنت من استهداف وإغراق أكثر من 20 سفينة تابعة للنظام الإيراني وإرسالها إلى قعر البحر منذ بدء العمليات، مبينة أن الليلة الماضية جرى استهداف السفينة الحربية من طراز سليماني وتدميرها.
من جهة أخرى، أعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي أن سلاح الجو التابع له ألقى أكثر من 5 آلاف قنبلة على إيران منذ بدء الحرب الحالية، موضحاً أن طائرات سلاح الجو الإسرائيلي تواصل تعزيز التفوق الجوي في جميع أنحاء إيران، مع التركيز على طهران.
في غضون ذلك، ذكر مصدر دبلوماسي تركي أن أنقرة استدعت السفير الإيراني إلى وزارة الخارجية، اليوم، للتعبير عن احتجاجها وقلقها إزاء إطلاق إيران صاروخاً باليستياً متجهاً نحو مجالها الجوي.
The U.S. Central Command announced today (Wednesday) that it has used long-range precision strike missiles “Prism” for the first time in the war with Iran.
Central Command stated: “In a historic precedent, long-range precision strike missiles ‘Prism’ were used in combat during the Epic Fury operation, providing an unprecedented capability to deliver deep strikes.”
U.S. Central Command Commander Admiral Brad Cooper said: “I am extremely proud of our men and women in the armed forces who are employing innovation to put the enemy in a critical position.”
Central Command clarified that its forces have managed to target and sink more than 20 vessels belonging to the Iranian regime, sending them to the bottom of the sea since the operations began, noting that last night the warship of the Soleimani class was targeted and destroyed.
On another note, the Israeli army announced that its air force has dropped more than 5,000 bombs on Iran since the start of the current war, explaining that Israeli air force planes continue to enhance air superiority across Iran, focusing on Tehran.
Meanwhile, a Turkish diplomatic source mentioned that Ankara summoned the Iranian ambassador to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today to express its protest and concern regarding Iran’s launch of a ballistic missile heading towards its airspace.
