These Terriers just might be pit bulls.
Boston University pulled out a last-second thriller to advance to the Patriot League championship game with a 73-72 victory Sunday over top-seeded Navy in Annapolis.
Freshman guard Chance Gladden’s 40-foot jumper from just over mid-court with under a second remaining — after Navy had grabbed a two-point lead with 3.6 seconds to go — lifted the Terriers (17-16) to the title game Wednesday night against Lehigh for an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

BU has not reached the Big Dance in men’s hoops since 2011.
“I saw three seconds to go, I was just sprinting up the court, and when I let it go, it felt so good,” Gladden said after the game on CBS Sports Network. “I knew it was in.”

Longtime coach Joe Jones’ squad was led by 26 points from Gladden and 22 from junior guard Michael McNair.
Senior center Aidan Kehoe registered 26 points and 12 rebounds for the Midshipmen (26-7).
