A very scary moment in IndyCar practice today from Barber Motorsports Park. Scott McLaughlin of Team Penske didn’t just wreck, his car went through the retaining wall and into a line of trees just on the other side.
When McLaughlin came to a rest, half of his car was on one side of the wall and the other half was on the other side. It appears that McLaughlin was able to walk away from the incident. The driver said that the wreck looked worse than it felt, thankfully.
Watch as the No. 3 Chevy ends up out of the track boundaries after this violent impact. What a wild incident to start the day at Barber.
