Patrick Mahomes has become arguably the best player in the entire NFL during his nine seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Although he was Alex Smith’s backup during his rookie year in 2017, Mahomes has still managed to lead the Chiefs to five Super Bowl appearances, securing three rings in the process. Not to forget his two NFL MVP and three Super Bowl MVP awards.
Throughout his NFL career, Mahomes has also had his wife, Brittany Mahomes, by his side. The two began dating at Whitehouse High School in 2012 before getting married 10 years later in 2022. Patrick and Brittany also share three kids together, including daughters Sterling Skye, 5, and Golden Raye, 1, along with their one son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 3.

While the Mahomeses are one of the more popular couples in the NFL, they are not the most prominent on the Chiefs. That distinction belongs to tight end Travis Kelce and his fiancée, Taylor Swift. Kelce and Swift began dating in 2023 and got engaged ahead of the 2025 NFL season. Their wedding date is rumored to be June 13 in Rhode Island, with Mahomes expected to join Kelce in the Bahamas for his bachelor party.
On Thursday, Patrick Mahomes attended the Lead to Read KC event, speaking to more than 3,000 local students and encouraging them to read for 15 minutes a day. During the event, Mahomes was asked about his favorite part of playing for the Chiefs, and he responded with a nod to Swift, his good friend’s fiancée.
“My favorite part of playing for the Chiefs, I think it would be to play at Arrowhead Stadium and just have all the fans and Chiefs Kingdom out there,” Patrick Mahomes said. “That’s a lot of fun. I got to meet Taylor Swift, that was pretty cool too.”

The NFL world took notice of what Patrick Mahomes had to say about the musical icon, taking to social media to leave their thoughts.
