Bhabie did not elaborate on the details of her diagnosis but a family source told TMZ that she did had cancer and was being treated by doctors.

At the time, she told a Daily Mail paparazzo outside of Los Angeles International Airport that she was “not prepared” for the run-in but was otherwise doing “OK.”

The musician shot to fame in 2016 after appearing on a “Dr. Phil” segment called “I Want to Give Up My Car-Stealing, Knife-Wielding, Twerking 13-Year-Old Daughter Who Tried to Frame Me for a Crime.”

“Catch me outside, that’s what I always do and they never catch me,” Bhabie said, coining the phrase that launched her stardom. “‘Ain’t nobody gonna catch me. Cash me outside, how ‘bout dat.”

The influencer soon became known as “Cash Me Outside Girl” before launching her rap career.

“I’ve always loved music. When I first started, I didn’t really have the confidence and didn’t think I could actually do it,” she gushed to Basic Magazine in 2023. “I was working with a lot of cowriters, but now, I do most of the writing by myself. I’ve definitely evolved. I’ve always loved music and rapping, so making it a profession came naturally to me.”

Reflecting on her work, Bhabie added that she felt like “a lot of my older music was kind of childish, but I was young —14 and 15 years old.”

“I’m 18 years old now and I’m definitely going to show that I’m more mature when it comes to both my content and its delivery,” continued the social media personality. “I’ve made a lot of my own music before, but it was mostly about what the label wanted. When you’re signed, they’re just thinking of hits and marketing, especially because I was so young. I didn’t have a lot of choices or a strong voice. But I’m older now. I understand the game now.”

Along with becoming more self assured in the studio, Bhabie also became a mom at 20.
