كشف مصدر سياسي لبناني لـ«عكاظ»، أن ما يتم تداوله خلال اليومين الماضيين عن طرح فرنسي رئاسي لاحتواء التصعيد في لبنان لا يعكس حقيقة الاتصالات الجارية، لافتاً إلى أن المعطيات المتوافرة حتى الآن لا تشير إلى وجود مبادرة متكاملة أو مسار واضح يمكن أن يقود إلى وقف الحرب.
الأولوية لخفض التصعيد
وأوضح المصدر أن الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون تحرك فور صدور الإنذار الإسرائيلي الأخير بإخلاء مناطق واسعة في الضاحية الجنوبية لبيروت، وأجرى سلسلة اتصالات متوازية مع مسؤولين في لبنان وإسرائيل في محاولة لاحتواء التدهور المتسارع.
وبحسب المصدر، شدد ماكرون خلال هذه الاتصالات على أولوية خفض التصعيد وإعادة فتح قنوات التفاوض بهدف التوصل إلى وقف لإطلاق النار، محذراً من أن استمرار العمليات العسكرية قد يدفع الوضع نحو مرحلة أكثر خطورة.

وأعلن الجيش الإسرائيلي أنه قصف غرفة في أحد فنادق منطقة الروشة (رامادا). ووفق الرواية الإسرائيلية، كان يقيم في الغرفة المستهدفة خمسة مسؤولين إيرانيين رفيعي المستوى من فيلق القدس التابع للحرس الثوري، بينهم عناصر مرتبطة بمهام استخبارية ومالية.

A Lebanese political source revealed to “Okaz” that the discussions circulating over the past two days regarding a French presidential proposal to contain the escalation in Lebanon do not reflect the reality of the ongoing communications, noting that the available data so far does not indicate the existence of a comprehensive initiative or a clear path that could lead to a cessation of hostilities.
Priority to De-escalation
The source explained that French President Emmanuel Macron moved immediately after the recent Israeli warning to evacuate large areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut, conducting a series of parallel communications with officials in Lebanon and Israel in an attempt to contain the accelerating deterioration.
According to the source, Macron emphasized during these communications the priority of de-escalation and the reopening of negotiation channels aimed at reaching a ceasefire, warning that the continuation of military operations could push the situation toward a more dangerous phase.
The source pointed out that the reality on the ground will not change in the coming days, and that current mediations will not bring about significant progress at this stage, with discussions about any possibility of reaching an agreement to halt the escalation being minimal at present.
Expansion of Israeli Airstrikes
On the ground, the pace of military operations is accelerating with the expansion of Israeli airstrikes on Lebanon, as the strikes are no longer limited to confrontation areas in the south but have extended to the heart of Beirut, alongside the continued heavy bombardment of towns in the south and Bekaa.
In the context of security developments, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority revealed additional information about the airstrike that targeted a location in the heart of the capital, Beirut, in the past few hours.
The Israeli army announced that it bombed a room in one of the hotels in the Raouché area (Ramada). According to the Israeli narrative, five high-ranking Iranian officials from the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guard were staying in the targeted room, including individuals linked to intelligence and financial missions.
The authority indicated that the Israeli army is still conducting an investigation into the results of the operation, amid Lebanese reports of casualties and injuries resulting from the airstrike.
