Doorbell cameras often record package deliveries and passing neighbors, but one clip lately captured something far more unusual.
Lauren Agans, as TikTok user laurenagans, shared footage showing her neighbor’s dog coming over to eat a box of pizza left on her stoop.
As the clip begins, the golden retriever named Maggie can be seen scurrying up the stoop and start going through the box, eating a number of slices that were left inside.
‘Dinner was stolen’
As the video continues, the creator’s daughter is seen walking out of the home and looking at the box.
“There’s only one pizza for me,” she says, as Maggie attempts to walk back towards the stoop and the box of pizza.
The creator is then seen walking out of the house and saying to the golden retriever, “Maggie, what are you doing here?
“Maggie, where’s your mom?” the creator asks.
The creator is then seen picking up the box of pizza and realizing that it was all eaten by Maggie.
“Our dinner was stolen off of our porch tonight,” text overlaying the video said.
‘She is innocent’
The TikTok comments section swelled with jokes and playful theories about the pet‘s actions.
One viewer shared: “I spy a crime.”
Another humorously stepped in as Maggie’s legal defender writing: “I’m Maggie’s lawyer and she is innocent.”
Some pundits suggested Maggie knew exactly what she was doing when she grabbed the pizza.
“Maggie was on the run cause she knew she tore that pizza up,” offered one.
Others appeared fully supportive of the dog’s snack.
“I’m just glad that queen got her pizza,” a fan declared.
Curious Golden Retrievers
Funny moments involving golden retrievers often go viral online.
Newsweek reported on a popular TikTok video showing a golden retriever named Charlie who stole a piece of bread from a neighbor and refused to give it back.
The footage shows the pup, who is a year and nine months old, proudly holding a piece of bread in his mouth and refusing to let go of it, despite his owner’s pleas.
“Charlie, drop the bread,” the owner can be heard saying, adding: “It’s not your bread. It’s someone else’s bread, OK? Don’t steal!”
The owner eventually grabbed the bread out of Charlie’s mouth and threw it back onto the neighbor’s porch.
Another Newsweek story covered a golden retriever that attempted to introduce himself to his new neighbors by bringing his own ball over, while they were playing catch.
