John Krasinski is known around the world for playing Jim Halpert in The Office, but he’s quietly become one of the most formidable directors in Hollywood. All the way back in 2018, he directed the first Quiet Place, which co-starred his wife Emily Blunt along with Millicent Simmons and Noah Jupe as their children in the film, Regan and Marcus Abbott. Only two years later, Krasinski directed a second Quiet Place movie, which returned almost everyone from the original film while also adding Oscar-winning star Cillian Murphy to its cast. The Quiet Place franchise turned back the clock in 2024 with a prequel story, A Quiet Place: Day One, starring Joseph Quinn and Lupita Nyong’o. Krasinski stayed involved as a producer and writer, but he passed directorial control on the film to Michael Sarnoski.

Last year, news broke that Krasinski was back in the director’s chair for A Quiet Place Part III, which would continue where the main story left off with 2020’s A Quiet Place Part II. Plot details about the film were held under wraps when it was announced, but it was confirmed that Blunt, Jupe, and Simmonds would all reprise their roles as members of the Abbott family. Now, Krasinski took to his personal social media to post a new photo of a set of scripts for A Quiet Place Part III, confirming that the primary cast will consist of Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, Jack O’Connell, Katie O’Brian, and even Jason Clarke. Murphy’s return is undeniably exciting, as are the additions of Sinners star Jack O’Connell and both Katie O’Brian and Jason Clarke. The film will be released in theaters on July 30, 2027.

Where Are the ‘Quiet Place’ Movies Streaming?

All three Quiet Place movies are streaming on Paramount+, but the most recent entry, A Quiet Place:Day One, has also found a home on Prime Video and Amazon MGM+. Not only have the Quiet Place movies earned widespread critical acclaim, but they’ve also been smash hits at the box office. The first film grossed $340 million globally against a $17 million budget, while its sequel earned $297 million against a $61 million budget. Even A Quiet Place: Day One earned $261 million against a $67 million budget.
