CBS’s durability machine just reminded everyone how streaming charts really work: familiarity beats hype when viewers want something they can drop into instantly. On March 19, one particular kind of legacy procedural people have been casually watching for decades made a measurable move upward, the clearest sign of active viewing rather than passive still there inertia. And in doing so, it nudged past a newer Taylor Sheridan–adjacent western spin-off that’s been living in the modern dad TV lane.
The procedural in question jumped two positions today to hit #2 on Paramount+ in the U.S., while the western-leaning rival slipped one slot to #4. Above them, the #1 spot remains occupied by South Park, which has stayed stable exactly where it is.
NCIS remains CBS’s ultimate streaming weapon because it’s built for repeat sampling, endless episodes, instantly readable stakes, and characters you can understand in five minutes. Marshals, on the other hand, may carry the Sheridan-style brand of modern western intensity and continue where Yellowstone left off, but it’s still looking to find fans, particularly since existing Yellowstone followers seem fairly divided on the series. It’s apparent that the longest-running procedural doesn’t need more buzz.
What Else Is Trending on Paramount+ in the U.S?
Beyond the headline TV race, Paramount+’s U.S. Top 10 chart on March 21, 2026, shows two clear patterns: legacy comfort dominates TV, while catalog action/comedy rules movies. On the TV side, other than the shows already named, Everybody Loves Raymond climbed up to #5, and SpongeBob SquarePants remains at #6. Newer franchise plays are also holding attention: The Madison sits at #3 (between Marshals and NCIS), while Tracker remains a steady draw at #9.
On domestic charts, movies are led by The Running Man at #1 (65 days) and Roofman at #2 (99 days), with a comedy cluster — Scary Movie (#3) and Scary Movie 2 (#9). The biggest mover is Due Justice, jumping to #4, while 21 Jump Street slides to #6, a sign viewers are swapping familiar rewatches rather than chasing brand-new premieres.
NCIS is currently trending at the #2 spot on Paramount+. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates.
