أكد المدير العام للتعليم بمنطقة الرياض الدكتور نايف بن عابد الزارع أنه تم تنفيذ أكثر من 3400 فعالية ذاتية وتشاركية في مدارس المنطقة، أسهمت بشكل مباشر في تحقيق أهداف «الرياض الخضراء»، عبر برامج التشجير والمبادرات البيئية والتوعوية.
جاء ذلك خلال تدشينه اليوم 1000 فرصة تطوعية، بالشراكة مع أمانة منطقة الرياض، بمناسبة «يوم مبادرة السعودية الخضراء»، وذلك في مقر الإدارة العامة بمكتب التعليم الخاص، إضافة إلى متوسطة الإمام السوسي لتحفيظ القرآن الكريم، بحضور عدد من القيادات التعليمية والمهتمين بالعمل التطوعي والبيئي.
وأوضح الزارع أن هذه الفرص التطوعية تمثل امتداداً لدور التعليم في بناء الوعي البيئي لدى الطلبة، وتعزيز مشاركتهم الفاعلة في خدمة المجتمع، من خلال مبادرات نوعية تركز على حماية البيئة، وزيادة الرقعة الخضراء، والإسهام في تقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية، بما يتماشى مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 ومبادرة السعودية الخضراء.
وأشار إلى أن الشراكة مع أمانة منطقة الرياض تعكس تكامل الجهود بين الجهات الحكومية لتحقيق أثر مستدام، مؤكداً أن المدارس أصبحت منصات فاعلة لنشر ثقافة الاستدامة، وتحفيز الطلبة ومنسوبي التعليم على تبني سلوكيات إيجابية تجاه البيئة.
ويأتي تدشين هذه الفرص التطوعية ضمن سلسلة من المبادرات البيئية، التي تنفذها «تعليم الرياض»، بهدف ترسيخ مفاهيم العمل التطوعي، وتعزيز المسؤولية المجتمعية، بما يسهم في صناعة جيل واعٍ بقضايا البيئة وقادر على الإسهام في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
The General Director of Education in the Riyadh Region, Dr. Nayef bin Abed Al-Zari, confirmed that more than 3,400 self and participatory activities have been implemented in the region’s schools, directly contributing to achieving the goals of “Green Riyadh” through afforestation programs and environmental and awareness initiatives.
This came during the launch today of 1,000 volunteer opportunities, in partnership with the Riyadh Region Municipality, on the occasion of “Saudi Green Initiative Day,” at the headquarters of the General Administration in the Private Education Office, in addition to Imam Al-Sousi Intermediate School for the Memorization of the Holy Quran, in the presence of several educational leaders and those interested in volunteer and environmental work.
Al-Zari explained that these volunteer opportunities represent an extension of the role of education in building environmental awareness among students and enhancing their active participation in community service through quality initiatives that focus on protecting the environment, increasing green spaces, and contributing to reducing carbon emissions, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the Saudi Green Initiative.
He pointed out that the partnership with the Riyadh Region Municipality reflects the integration of efforts between government entities to achieve a sustainable impact, emphasizing that schools have become effective platforms for spreading the culture of sustainability and motivating students and education staff to adopt positive behaviors towards the environment.
The launch of these volunteer opportunities is part of a series of environmental initiatives implemented by “Riyadh Education,” aimed at instilling the concepts of volunteer work and enhancing social responsibility, contributing to the creation of a generation that is aware of environmental issues and capable of contributing to achieving sustainable development.
