أعلن وزير الخارجية الإيراني عباس عراقجي، الأربعاء، أن بلاده وافقت على فتح مضيق هرمز، مؤكداً أن «المرور الآمن عبر المضيق متاح لمدة أسبوعين بالتنسيق مع القوات المسلحة الإيرانية».
وأضاف عراقجي أن إيران «ستوقف الهجمات إذا توقفت الهجمات ضدها».
ونقلت وسائل الإعلام الحكومية عن المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي الإيراني أن المفاوضات مع الولايات المتحدة ستبدأ يوم الجمعة 10 أبريل في العاصمة الباكستانية إسلام أباد، بعد أن قدمت طهران مقترحًا من 10 نقاط إلى واشنطن عبر باكستان، مشيراً إلى أن هذه المحادثات لا تعني نهاية النزاع.
وأوضحت إيران أن المفاوضات، التي قد تستمر حتى 15 يوماً مع إمكانية تمديدها، تهدف إلى وضع اللمسات الأخيرة على تفاصيل المقترح، والذي يشمل أحكاماً حول عبور مضيق هرمز، ورفع العقوبات، وانسحاب القوات الأمريكية من قواعد إقليمية.
وأكد المجلس الأعلى للأمن القومي أن المقترح الإيراني المكون من 10 نقاط يتضمن قبول برنامج تخصيب اليورانيوم، بالإضافة إلى رفع جميع العقوبات الأساسية والثانوية، ودفع تعويضات كاملة لطهران، والإفراج عن أصولها المجمدة.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Wednesday that his country has agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz, confirming that “safe passage through the strait is available for two weeks in coordination with the Iranian armed forces.”
Araghchi added that Iran “will stop the attacks if the attacks against it stop.”
State media reported that the Iranian Supreme National Security Council stated that negotiations with the United States will begin on Friday, April 10, in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, after Tehran presented a 10-point proposal to Washington through Pakistan, noting that these talks do not signify the end of the conflict.
Iran clarified that the negotiations, which may last up to 15 days with the possibility of extension, aim to finalize the details of the proposal, which includes provisions regarding the passage through the Strait of Hormuz, lifting sanctions, and the withdrawal of U.S. forces from regional bases.
The Supreme National Security Council confirmed that the Iranian 10-point proposal includes acceptance of the uranium enrichment program, in addition to lifting all primary and secondary sanctions, paying full compensation to Tehran, and releasing its frozen assets.
