The SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament tipped off Wednesday and runs through Sunday at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks, the No. 1 overall seed and the No. 3 team in the country, have been the team to beat in the past decade as they have won nine of the last 11 SEC Tournaments since 2015. Their competition might be stiffer than ever this year, however.

The top four seeds all got byes to the quarterfinals. South Carolina and LSU both cruised to victories on Friday afternoon and will meet in the semis on Saturday. Vanderbilt, meanwhile, likely lost its chance at earning a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Vandy was upset by Ole Miss on Friday in the quarterfinals. The Commodores made a late comeback, but they trailed by 32 points at halftime.

Tennessee crashed out of the conference tournament on Thursday night, falling to Ole Miss. The Vols have now lost seven games in a row and are scuffling as they head into the NCAA Tournament, but it seems like Kim Caldwell’s job will be safe. CBS Sports bracketologist Connor Groel projected Tennessee as a No. 7 seed in the Big Dance entering this week, but they could slip to an 8 or 9 seed after their latest defeat.
