أشرف الزعيم الكوري الشمالي كيم جونغ أون على تنفيذ مناورة عسكرية واسعة، جرى خلالها الكشف عن دبابة قتالية جديدة وُصفت بأنها ركيزة أساسية في جهود تحديث الجيش، وفق ما أفادت به وسائل الإعلام الرسمية.
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء المركزية الكورية الشمالية أن التدريبات نُفذت في قاعدة تدريبية قرب بيونغ يانغ، وشملت وحدات مدرعة أطلقت صواريخ مضادة للدبابات، إلى جانب وحدات تصدت لأهداف جوية وهمية، بينها طائرات مسيّرة ومروحيات، تمهيداً لتقدم قوات المشاة والدبابات في سيناريو قتالي متكامل.
وأوضحت الوكالة أن الدبابة الجديدة تتمتع بقدرات متقدمة في الحركة والقوة النارية، إضافة إلى أنظمة دفاعية حديثة، من بينها تقنيات للحماية من الصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة.
وأشارت إلى أن كيم تابع المناورات بإعجاب، معبراً عن رضاه عن أداء الوحدات المدرعة، ومؤكداً تحقيق تقدم ملموس في تطوير صناعة الدبابات. كما اعتبر أن الدبابة الجديدة تمتلك قدرات دفاعية ذاتية متقدمة، قائلاً إنه “لا يوجد سلاح مدرع في العالم يضاهيها”.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw a large-scale military exercise, during which a new combat tank was revealed, described as a cornerstone in efforts to modernize the army, according to state media reports.
The Korean Central News Agency reported that the drills were conducted at a training base near Pyongyang and included armored units that fired anti-tank missiles, alongside units that engaged simulated aerial targets, including drones and helicopters, in preparation for the advance of infantry and tanks in a comprehensive combat scenario.
The agency explained that the new tank boasts advanced capabilities in mobility and firepower, in addition to modern defensive systems, including technologies for protection against missiles and drones.
It noted that Kim observed the maneuvers with admiration, expressing satisfaction with the performance of the armored units and confirming tangible progress in the development of tank manufacturing. He also stated that the new tank possesses advanced self-defense capabilities, saying that “there is no armored weapon in the world that can match it.”
